Displaying an image based on the day of the week

DailyImageURL lets you display a different image for each day of the week, according to the date in the viewer's computer. For example, you can create a banner that changes daily when the page is loaded, or you can create an image viewers can click to replace with the picture of the day.

Note: Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer retrieve the date information when the browser is first launched. If the computer's date is changed without restarting the browser (for example, to test the action), the new date is not noticed by the action.

To apply the DailyImageURL action:

1 Choose the image you want to replace based on the day of the week, and select it.

2 Click the More tab in the Image Inspector, and enter a name in the Name text box.

3 Set up the action trigger as described in Setting up actions.

4 Choose Actions Plus > DailyImageURL in the Action Inspector or Actions palette.

5 Choose the image from the Image menu in the Action Inspector. This is the base image that is replaced with the image for that day.

6 For each day's Location text box, link to an image you want to display. If you don't link to an image (leaving it Empty Reference!), the image is not replaced on that day of the week.

Note: All images must be the same size in pixels.
